Intensity certainly breeds goals if you are Cal Clutterbuck, Mikko Koivu, or anyone else who helped out from the Minnesota Wild roster in tonight’s game against the ex-Minnesotan Mike Modano and his Dallas Stars.
Clutterbuck notched his 3rd goal, a shorthanded marker in the first period of the game, giving himself a team-leading +4 on the plus/minus board.
Koivu’s 4th of the season came on an even strength, energetic play by defensemen Marek Zidlicky who assisted the goal.
The Wild went on to take the home victory over Dallas 3-2. The Wild will play again on Tuesday against the Eastern Conference bottom, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
